This Week: Hodge Podge
This photo was taken on the GHPA walking tour of the Houston Heights. The Heights is definitely one area of town that I would like to live when I dream of moving into town. You can see more photos from the walking tour here at The Bayou City Wanderer.
The Heights was established in the late 1800s. The whole community is fighting against new developers that are coming in, tearing down and then putting up 'victorian like' houses that are mammoth and dominate the whole lot. GHPA points this house out as a good example of how things were. The scale of the yard and the house gives an idea of how the community looked 100 years ago. And that yard is awesome!
