This Week: San Jacinto Monument
The monument itself is 570 feet tall. There is a newly renovated observation deck that is 489 feet. I remember visiting it before the renovation and the glass was all scratched and you could barely see out the windows. It is very nice now and gives a great view of the surrounding area. In this photo you can see the Battleship Texas in the bottom right and in the very far left you can see an outline of the city of Houston.
