March 19th, 2008 | Abstract Permalink | Comment (3) This Week: Glenwood through the Holga Earlier I said one of my experiments was that I didn't tighten the film spool. Basically I didn't put the little piece of paper under the spools to keep them from slipping. It met with some interesting results including this abstract artwork. It's way out there and probably doesn't look like much to most people, but if you look closely you can see the repeated tombstone going up the center of the photo. This is one experiment I probably won't repeat. It certainly gave me the very gauzy, fuzzy look I was after, but there were a few too many 'abstract' images. I would take a photo, walk around with the camera a little and then look down at the image window and realize the film had moved. I have no idea how this one happened, but that is what makes it fun. At least for this one time. |
