This Week: Holidays in Houston
This marks one of the first times that I have purposely gone to several different locations to gather photos for a theme. Usually I put a theme together from photos of one location, but I wanted to show some of the Christmas displays in the Houston area. I really enjoyed working on this project, although I had to do it in a very short amount of time since I have spent much of December not feeling well (still fighting horrible allergy attacks).
First up is the Houston Galleria which according to their website is the fourth largest mall in the United States. It has 375+ stores and covers 2.4 million square feet of retail space. It certainly felt like it was one of the largest in the nation when I was navigating the streets around the mall. It was completely insane although I'm sure the fact that I waited to go until there were only 4 shopping days left had something to do with it. This Christmas tree is in the middle of the ice skating rink which operates year round.
