January 29th, 2007 | Antiques Permalink | Comment (0) This Week: Westheimer And we're back. What was supposed to be 7 hours of downtime turned into about 33 hours through no fault of Expressions. Once thing I found out is that everyone around the world eats a lot better than I do! This week we will venture down the fabled street of Westheimer. Westheimer Road is named after Mitchell Louis Westheimer who dedicated a portion of his plantation land to provide a right of way short cut from Columbus to Sealy. Westheimer Road is the longest major thoroughfare in Texas and everyone in Houston or who has visited Houston for any length of time has heard of it or ventured on it. There is one section that is particularly photogenic and that is where we will visit this week. |
